I simply want to share the tips on how to live your best day possible, even if things don’t turn out the way you expected! It is very likely to feel frustrated, when things go haywire or your expectations turn upside down. But how best you can control yourself in that situation determines what choice you want to make? Whether you want to feel stressed and overwhelmed the entire day, or you want to have an amazing, wonderful day? What would make you happy? Things that did go wrong or things that you could accomplish?
I think the most searched word on the internet today is, “perfect.” For example- How to live a perfect day, how to find a perfect partner, how to be perfect, how to look perfect, how to feel perfect, etc. But wait! Don’t leave the page yet! I’m not going to talk about how to live a perfect day in your life .
Turn your focus around and build your life around those things that matter right in this moment. How best you can plan to live your best day entirely depends on accepting things the way they unfold. The secret is to incorporate healthy habits and practices that allows you to start your day with good energy.
This is the first reminder in my to-do lists of 5 ways I try live my day in the best possible way, even when things don’t go as expected. So here’s the list I want to share with you all. I hope you find them helpful too!
- Start Your Day With Good Energy
A good start is the foundation for creating your best day. I’m always so drawn towards checking my phone as soon as I wake up in the morning. But I try to quickly switch that craving with listening to my favorite author’s podcast. At least I’m looking at the screen that way!
Listening to these motivational talks also set me up for taking the day with a positive attitude. Again, positive attitude doesn’t mean everything will be just as perfect; instead it means, I will train my mind to make healthy choices and to try to see the good in all situations.
2. Ditch Your To-Do List
The to-do list is considered to be the most productive tactics tool, that is used by almost everyone these days. But I’ve a different opinion. I don’t use to-do lists anymore, and it has not affected my productivity level at all either!
Why to complicate your day [and life] with an additional set of larger than life to-do-lists? I’m not against it. It must be the way for many to stay on their tasks. But for me, being flexible is a very essential factor to stay productive or to accomplish my goals and dreams.
I believe in working hard and staying focused on my tasks too. But I try to work on the most important ones first, that cannot wait until tomorrow. This way I avoid creating my to-do list, and create a positive space for myself in order to enjoy what I do. Live your best day minus to-do list and stress.
3. Be At Peace With Everything As It Is
Come to peace with the things the way they are! When we turn being more observant towards how everything is around us, we learn the art of accepting and making peace with the way things are. Instead of resisting or fighting hard to change anything, why not let’s try to find the lesson that moment or that experience is trying to tell us!
Accepting things for what they are also gave me the freedom to be unapologetically me. The more we gravitate towards acceptance, the faster we can find the inner peace and balance. Taking care of your wellness means breaking complex situations down to simpler ones. It is definitely not easy as it sounds! But what best way to do that, than by simply accepting your life and making peace with everyday challenges!
4. Break Down Your Day Into Doing Different Things
While you’re juggling between work and life, it is also important to add few more exciting things to make it your best day. For me, the best day is a sum of work+ fun +learning +creating +spending time with family+ outdoor life+ walking/running+ self-care+ relax time+ self-love+ a good night sleep. Don’t forget to add these tiny elements of happiness to your daily routine.
5. Sprinkle a Dash Of Positivity and Creativity To Your Day
To be more peaceful and mindful throughout the day, learn to accept the way things are. The easiest way to do that is by painting your day with positive feelings and creativity. Create that’s under your control by making better choices. For the things that are out of your control, learn to accept it mindfully.
Rather than turning away from things that seem difficult, try to turn towards it with a more compassionate heart. Instead of judging or criticizing, accept it with a kind understanding heart.
Accept everything in this moment. Make sure you accept your thoughts and emotions. Accept people and things. Accept whatever it is, and see how peaceful and liberated you feel! Living your best day requires you to be at peace with the things that you cannot change. Stop being so hard on yourself to change people and circumstances. Be more accepting of yourself and others.
