The 2020 pandemic not just gave us the jolt of surprises, and was super powerful to bring our lives to a standstill; but also gave us some deeper learning about appreciating everything around us!
I know, the world is facing the challenging time of crisis. But while everything around us is raging in fear, unpreparedness, and the spiraling [out of control] web of many unanswered questions; it is extremely important that we learn how to calm down all those ‘fired up’ emotions! And the best way is to feel the power of gratitude, to look at the positive side of the situation.
During such turbulent times of stress, it is easy to feel sad, afraid, and confused. But, I try to keep my emotions in check and to show up everyday for myself, my kids, my family and friends, and for the community. And for me, ‘feeling grateful’ about every last morsel of the food in my plate helps me overcome my fears about the uncertainties. Yes, this pandemic has taught me some deeper appreciation for every single thing like: the air we breathe, the internet we are using to work from home or to keep ourselves entertained, or the sunshine we are longing for!
Refrain from consuming too much of negative toxic “information,” and focus on keeping your hope and faith alive. There is much power in hope and faith!
There are a lot of positive lessons I’ve learned from this global crisis. It is very important to have a positive mindset; especially during this difficult time. Positivity detox our mind from all toxic harmful thoughts, and make us feel light and at peace; and feeling good keeps us healthy!
We must understand that there are zillion things that’s far beyond our control! But there is something that I can control, and you can too- that is our inner world: our thoughts, and our emotions. Our actions and reactions to whatever happens outside our inner world and or inner space is completely our responsibility.
Every “ordinary” things that we thought will always be there for us and with us, has become significantly scarce; be it staple foods, vegetables, tissue papers, hand sanitizers, disinfectants, or fresh pure air to breathe outside. Falling sick never ever felt so scary and sad!
Do you think there is any message behind this outbreak of suffering and the pain of isolation? I’ve always believed that any bad time bring something good along with it! And who knows if this pandemic is allowing us to “heal” in many ways? May be we are being reminded of who we are, and are being asked to reevaluate what is necessary to us right now? This difficult time is asking us to honor the present moment, and to remember to slow down. Have you realized how close we have come to each other [even if virtually] in just few weeks and months? “I feel I’m being whisked away to deepen my relationships with my friends, family, community, and with my kids and my husband. I feel more thankful and full of gratitude; as I begin to understand the importance of every simple and extraordinary moments I’m getting to live these days- just by being alive. And it is a great blessing!
My sincere thoughts are with those who lost a family member or a friend. I can’t even image the physical and emotional pain you must be going through right now! So many different tragedies; be it the struggles of not getting food to the table, or losing a job, or being left alone in a room, or being afraid of falling sick, or just staying home in the lockdown. These are no pleasant and happy moments of our life. Isn’t it? But we can help each other to feel a little better and less afraid and confused; by showing some kindness, compassion, help with donating food, flowers, and lots of smile and sunshine.
I thought just by looking at the positive side of life, I’ll be able to share some joy, and positivity with you through this post. I’m happy to count my blessings and pass it on to you, so that when you read this post, you do the same for someone or for many. Let the ripple effects of warmth and comfort, and togetherness catch up, and we brighten each other’s lives.
Stay safe. Stay home. Stay positive. Stay hopeful and keep smiling. We’re all in this together and this will pass too, as all endings have new beginnings. Let us be the light for ourselves and for others and let’s choose love.
I’m impressed, I have to admit. Rarely do I encounter a blog
that’s equally educative and entertaining, and let
me tell you, you have hit the nail on the head.
The issue is an issue that not enough folks are speaking intelligently
about. Now i’m very happy that I found this in my hunt for something concerning this.
